Meet Jessica Cox

Born without arms due to a rare condition, Jessica Cox has defied all odds to become the world’s first licensed armless pilot and the first armless black belt in the American Taekwondo Association.
Since the age of 14, Jessica has chosen to live without prosthetic arms. She’s mastered using her feet to do nearly everything — driving an unmodified car, typing, pumping gas, and even handling her own contact lenses. Her adventurous spirit doesn’t stop there; she’s also a certified scuba diver.
Jessica Cox first took to the skies in 2004 with Wright Flight, sparking a lifelong passion for aviation. After three years of dedication and training, she earned her pilot’s certificate in 2008 through an Able Flight scholarship, making history as the world’s first armless pilot. She’s licensed to fly light-sport aircraft up to 10,000 feet and completed her solo flight under the instruction of Parrish Traweek.
Jessica flies an ERCO 415-C Ercoupe, a 1940s aircraft uniquely built without rudder pedals. Its design allows her to control the plane entirely with her feet—one guiding the yoke and the other managing the throttle.
Jessica is the author of Disarm Your Limits, an autobiographical self-help book that shares the lessons she’s learned and inspires others to overcome their own challenges. We’re thrilled to welcome Jessica and hear her incredible message of perseverance and possibility. This is an event you won’t want to miss.
